John Edwards
I like this man very much. Even more than that, I admire him. He agrees with most of my views and he has a plan to make some much needed changes in our country.
It's hard to believe everything a politician promises - we've certainly been let down with the current administration, even if some of our expectations were low to begin with.
John Edwards has worked hard his entire life. His father worked in a mill - they were poor, but his hard work paid off and, after college, he went to law school. As a lawyer, he mainly represented folks who had medical malpractice suits and was very successful for them. Once he made his millions, he decided it was time to go into public service and was elected as a Senator from North Carolina. I think he can take the experiences of his past success and fix some of the problems that we desperately need fixed.
What strikes me most about him, however, is his devotion to his family. He is a good husband and a good father, which in this world, seems to be lacking. He is married to Elizabeth Edwards - who has made her own news in her fight against cancer. They have 3 children and an unbelieveable love for each other.
John Edwards' Plan To Build One America covers many topics:
Health Care
Poverty
Rural America
Tax Reform
Tax Simplification
Government Reform
Trade
Working Families
Predatory Mortgages
Debt and Savings
Food Safety
Energy/Environment
Education
College Affordability
Innovation
Open Media
Veterans/Military Families
African Americans
Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders
Latinos
LGBT
Women
Young America
Older Americans
People with Disabilities

Please take some time to read through his plan. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at his common sense approach. And think about making a donation, if you agree with me. John Edwards has never accept any money from lobbyists or PACs, so his victory depends on people like me (and you) pitching in. And that's the way it should be.
